22.09.22: Dr. Olaf Schmechel joins Lakeward as Senior Advisor

Dr. Olaf Schmechel, partner and lawyer at the European law firm GSK Stockmann, has been appointed Senior Advisor at the Swiss real estate investor Lakeward Real Estate. In recent years, Lakeward has successfully realized various real estate projects in the focus market of Germany and can now offer its private equity investors a diversified, highly attractive portfolio through various structures.

Dr. Olaf Schmechel has many years of experience as a partner and lawyer at GSK Stockmann. In addition to his work as an attorney (since 2004), he held the position of Co-Managing Partner between 2014 and 2018 and was thus responsible for the growth of the firm. He has actively supported and advised a large number of investors in the successful implementation of real estate transactions (asset and share deals, forward and forward funding deals, portfolio transactions, sale and leaseback), equity investments and joint ventures as lead attorney. In addition, Dr. Olaf Schmechel is a Non-Resident Partner of GSK Stockmann’s London office, which opened this month. Dr. Olaf Schmechel will support Lakeward with his network and experience in its strategic positioning and further growth in Germany and beyond. Olaf Schmechel will remain with GSK Stockmann as a lawyer and partner.
