We are looking to strengthen our team in Stuttgart and are seeking, to start immediately or by arrangement, a:
SENIOR DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (100%)
In your role, you will be responsible for the successful conception, planning, and execution of residential and commercial projects, both in new developments and standing properties. You will report directly to the Head of Investment Management in Zurich and be part of the Investment Team in Stuttgart. You will contribute your expertise across the entire value chain of our real estate projects.
Responsibilities:
. Complete and independent responsibility for development projects in new construction and the redevelopment of office and residential properties.
. Strategic and operative management and coordination of projects across all phases through to completion.
. Project conception and building law review during the acquisition phase.
. Conducting feasibility studies and preparing project calculations and profitability analyses.
. Initiating and overseeing urban planning and architectural competitions.
. Managing zoning procedures, development and urban planning contracts, neighborhood agreements, etc.
. Commissioning, managing, and supervising architects, specialist planners, consultants, construction companies, and other project stakeholders through to permitting and realization.
. Negotiating with authorities and government offices, urban planners, and stakeholders.
. Developing marketing strategies and leasing concepts, and managing the leasing process.
. Responsibility for project budgets and cost planning for large-scale development projects.
. Negotiating service, planning, and construction contracts.
. Identifying and mitigating risks and developing solution strategies.
. Monitoring project objectives, timelines, quality, and cost control.
. Direct report to senior management and presenting project progress (planned vs. actual).
. Managing interfaces with internal and external processes.
Qualifications:
. University degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Urban Planning, Architecture, Business or Civil Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
. Several years of professional experience in project development.
. Strong expertise in project management and budget planning.
. Leadership skills and strong team orientation.
. Excellent communication skills.
. Strong negotiation skills, particularly in drafting and managing planning and construction service contracts.
. Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).
. Willingness to travel to the company’s projects and locations (Germany, Switzerland).
